Mandarin Chinese Project

This project is housed at Gavilan Peak and Diamond Canyon K-8 schools located in the Anthem area, just north of Phoenix.  This innovative and dynamic program will provide opportunities for Chinese language and culture instruction for all students at both schools.

Thanks to ASU’s Confucius Institute and Hanban (Ministry of Education in China), Gavilan Peak and Diamond Canyon Schools had been awarded a “Confucius Classroom School” designation for its Mandarin Chinese Programs.

The College Board has also awarded Gavilan Peak and Diamond Canyon Schools with guest teachers from China. This is a program that is dedicated to outreach activities and assisting beginning Chinese programs.

Join us for Tour Day
We will be holding tours of our Mandarin classrooms on the following dates.  Tours last 1/2 hr and must be made by appointment.  To schedule an appointment, please contact the Mandarin office.
*Note – if you wish to see the 1st grade partial immersion class, you must do your tour at Gavilan Peak.
